Teen Programs
Apprentice Program
Apprentice trainees will learn games, calls and agreements for the Nature Explorers program. They will practice the 'art of questioning', using walkies, and what we carry and how to respond to first aid situations. Participants will also be able to practice core routines like sit spot and storytelling (work-shopping a nature story of their own). Apprentice trainees will learn how to support and foster community/connection and mitigate/mediate conflict.
If an apprentice is a good fit for the program, and there is space for an apprentice they will be assigned a day/site with our Nature Explorers. Apprentices are expected to attend their day (once a week) from October through May.
*Completing training does not require or guarantee participants to apprentice in future programs.

Pathfinder Program
Participants will learn new ways to observe and connect to the world around them through art, sensory games, play, nature journaling and more. Pathfinders will grow their birding skills, hazard identification, and curiosity through exploring trails, mentoring, and space to follow what sparks their curiosity!
This program is for teens looking to grow their naturalist knowledge and mentoring skills!
